treatment

The treatment of VWD varies according to its type and severity. Most people have mild VWD and may need treatment only at the time of injury, surgery, or dental procedure.1 Such treatment is often provided at hemophilia treatment centers (HTCs). HTCs are staffed by a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, and other specialists. They work together to provide comprehensive care to people with bleeding disorders.

Your doctor will discuss what the right treatment is for you based on the type and severity of your VWD.
